Mario Vargas Llosa

Mario Vargas Llosa is the preeminent man of lettes in Peru. Internationally esteemed as a novelist, essayist, playwright, journalist, literary critic , and educator, his works include Death in the Andes, The Feast of the Goat, and The Way to Paradise. In 1999 he was awarded an honorary Doctor of Letters degree from Harvard University.
