Antonia Pozzi

Born in Milan in 1912, Antonia Pozzi was passionate reader, gifted photographer, and avid mountain climber. When she died by her own hand in 1938, Pozzi left behind diaries, notebooks, letters, and over three hundred poems. None of her poetry was published in her lifetime. Though her father published heavily revised versions of ninety-one of these poems after her death, it was not until 1989 that editors Alessandra Cenni and Onorina Dino restored the poems to their original form.
