Bertony Louis

Bertony Louis is a Haitian poet writing in French and English. He is the author of Recovering the Horizons, published in France in 2022. He has received thirteen international poetry awards in France, Spain, and Cameroon. A former Artist Protection Fund Fellow at the University of Glasgow, he has also held residencies in Germany, Hungary, and Spain. He is currently a Scholar at Risk Fellow at Harvard University’s Hutchins Center. His work explores themes of absence, memory, exile, and silence. Photograph by Chuk Martin.
