Cristina Rivera Garza

Cristina Rivera Garza is a Mexican writer, translator, and critic. Recent publications include The Taiga Syndrome, translated by Suzanne Jill Levine and Aviva Kana (Dorothy Project, 2018), and The Iliac Crest, translated by Sarah Booker (The Feminist Press, 2017). Her Autobiografía del algodón is forthcoming with Random House Mexico. She is Distinguished Professor and founder of the PhD Program in Creative Writing in Spanish at the University of Houston, Department of Hispanic Studies.
