Mark Anthony Cayanan

Mark Anthony Cayanan is from Angeles City, Philippines. They are an Associate Professor at the University of the Philippines Diliman. A former Postdoctoral Fellow of the ICI Berlin Institute for Cultural Inquiry, they are the recipient of fellowships from Civitella, Art Omi, and Saari Residence. Their recent poetry projects are Unanimal, Counterfeit, Scurrilous (Giramondo in Australia, 2021; U of Santo Tomas Pub House in the Philippines, 2024), as well as Miracle Fever (forthcoming from Northwestern UP in 2026). Their poems have appeared in, among others, Kenyon Review, Indiana Review, The Margins, and Australian Poetry Journal.
