Rainer Maria Rilke
Rainer Maria Rilke was born in Prague on December 4, 1875. “A Tale Told to the Darkness” is the final story in a collection that Rilke composed over a short period when he was 23. The story collection (Geschichten Vom Lieben Gott) was dedicated to Rilke’s friend, Swedish feminist Ellen Key. 2026 will mark the centenary of Rilke’s death.
