Ravi Shankar

Ravi Shankar is the author, editor, or publisher of eight books and chapbooks of poetry, including W. W. Norton’s Language for a New Century: Contemporary Poetry from Asia, the Middle East and Beyond, and the 2010 National Poetry Review Prize-winning Deepening Groove. Chairman of the Connecticut Young Writers Trust, he founded and edits one of the world’s oldest electronic journals of the art, Drunken Boat. He teaches at CCSU and in City University of Hong Kong’s MFA Program.
