Sidney Burris

Sidney Burris is the author of two volumes of poetry, A Day at the Races (Utah University Press, 1989) and Doing Lucretius (LSU Press, 2000), and a book of criticism on the poetry of Seamus Heaney, The Poetry of Resistance (Ohio University Press, 1990). A third poetry collection will appear with LSU in spring 2021. He teaches at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where he is also the director of The TEXT Program (Tibetans in Exile Today), an oral-history project. He lives in Queens.
