
Fanny Howe
This biography was submitted to Harvard Review in 2023. Fanny Howe passed away on July 8, 2025. Fanny Howe’s most recent collection of poetry is Second Childhood from Graywolf Presss. She was a Finalist for the National Book Award in 2014 for that book and for the Man Booker International Award, 2015, for fiction. Her newest collection, The Needle’s Eye, a hybrid, was published in November 2016. She lives in Massachusetts.
