José Darío Martínez

José Darío Martínez is a PhD student in Spanish at Yale University. In the spring, he will submit his doctoral thesis studying repetition and world-building in twentieth-century Latin American fiction. He holds a master’s degree from the University of Oxford where he studied the relationship between Borges and Iranian literature. His first novel, Versión original, was published in 2018, and he is currently preparing a translated anthology of Peruvian modernist poetry in collaboration with María Miranda. He very much enjoys living in Mexico City.
