Laurie Sheck

Laurie Sheck is the author of several collections of poetry, including Captivity (2007); The Willow Grove (1996), a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize; and Amaranth (1981). She also published the novel A Monster’s Notes (2009). She is the recipient of several Pushcart Prizes as well as fellowships from institutions such as the National Endowment for the Arts and the Guggenheim Foundation. She teaches creative writing at the New School.
